In keeping with its cheerfully unabashed title, Mindless Drawings And Stuff is a slightly crazed glimpse into someone’s notepad. “This is my madness. . . now it’s yours,” intone the opening pages, so I guess I was warned. The content goes on a pretty surrealist bent, with talk of killing all the frogs in Yorkshire and sitting on cats. “It’s just what I do,” shrugs the writer. The drawings are equally trippy, with ghosts, tortoises, eyes, beards, teddies and spiders all intertwined. Lively scrawls, blotches and intriguing dialogues abound — I’d like to see this guy’s phone doodles.
