Expectations
Written in an orange maths book but without the milky odour, Expectations is a sequence of delicate sketches and pastel drawings illustrating lyrics from the Belle & Sebastian song of the same name. All of the drawings were produced on location in a classroom, with the slightly abstracted gaze of schoolgirls gleaming through each page. The concept works well, the insightful sketches perfectly tailored to the neatly pencilled, empathetic lyrics they accompany.
