You may already be familiar with Papergirl, the benevolent figure on a bicycle whizzing through city streets and handing out zines and artwork for free. Originally set up in Berlin, the project treats art as an everyday experience by distributing work as breezily and accessibly as if it were a local paper.
Good news: you now have the chance to be a part of the project, as Papergirl Bristol are on the lookout for submissions for their next exhibition — after which it will be rolled up and given away by their trusty freewheelin’ team.
Your work won’t be returned after use, but that’s a small price to pay when the end result is putting a smile on the face of a stranger, or at least causing them some cheery bewilderment. Just make sure your work can be easily rolled for the occasion.
All entries must be submitted by 1 April. For more details, contact papergirlbristol@gmail.com
