Sugar Paper

The perfect back-up plan for a rainy day, Sugar Paper is a zine to lift your spirits and nurture any creative inklings you might have. Each issue comes with 20 suggestions of things to make and do, in a format bringing back fond memories of Mandy and Twinkle annuals. Not surprisingly, it boasts a very cute aesthetic filled with crayons, cakes and typewriters, as well as tips on how to tear yourself away from the internet, start up a craft circle, make a mix tape, stitch a skirt, rollerskate. . . It’s a long list. The zine also often comes with a neat little catalyst stapled in, a loop of thread to set you about your way. It’s like a voyage through childhood, back when life was all Enid Blyton and paper chains.
