Making Zines // Reviewing Zines // Workshops & Activities
I was woken out of a zine blogging slumber by Psycho Moto, a long-running publication from the Antagonist arts collective in New York. Their mission statement: “We are not based on any one style or form of art, but believe that the piece should provoke.” Their zine is candid, funny and focuses on a different theme each issue. You can read about the transition from corporate suits to being a Berlin artist in the ‘Work’ issue, and tips for dealing with the undead are included in the ‘Monsters’ issue (“Don’t let zombies do your taxes, even if they used to be your accountant”). Lately, I’ve been carting round the scantily-clad ‘Stripped Down’ issue in my backpack, alongside my pencil case and apple for teacher. Hope to read more from these guys.
